The recently released Nintendo Wii port of Harmonix’s band simulation title Rock Band2 had huge criticism and the online reaction was examined by the latest edition of Critical Reception. The reviews claim that the title is “identical to what XBox 360 and PlayStation 3 players have been playing since September.”
The Wii version of Rock Band which was delayed in release last year lacked many features that defined its XBox 360 and PlayStation3 ports. It had no content to be downloaded, had no online multiplayer functionality and included no character customization. Experiencing all these drawbacks in the earlier version, the fans wondered if Rock Band2 would have the same fate. However, Rock Band2 was not that delayed in release and the critics have found the product to be worth a wait as Rock Band2 on Wii earns an averaged score of 92 out of 100.
Nintendo Wii will very soon experience the classic color handheld games by Game Gear and original 8-bit Sega Master title. The first two games as reported by Nintendo Wii Fanboys will be Fist of the North Star and Fantasy Zone. The first game would be for 600 points and the latter would be for 500 points.
The Game Gear will be the first handheld console to be represented on Wii and both Sega and Game Gear used same hardware. So, both the Sega and Game Gear are being used at the same time. Sega Genesis had all its titles on the Virtual Console but it would be a new to experience the vintage Outrun, Shin obi and Alex Kidd. The games are coming on Japanese Wii next month but no dates have been announced for release in America.
