It was mandatory for all stores to keep Wii in stock. However some missed out.

Moreover most games are exclusively new and none of the old stocks are taken out in this sale. On discussing with the store person he said that the sale has started because they understand that people are still in a rush to get their video games. Hence those who could not get their hands on it during Christmas holidays can come in now and get it at a cheaper price. This time since shopping season is over so they have assured that they have sufficient Wii n stock. Even stores like Toys R Us are coming out with same offers.

The recently released Nintendo Wii port of Harmonix’s band simulation title Rock Band2 had huge criticism and the online reaction was examined by the latest edition of Critical Reception. The reviews claim that the title is “identical to what XBox 360 and PlayStation 3 players have been playing since September.”
The Wii version of Rock Band which was delayed in release last year lacked many features that defined its XBox 360 and PlayStation3 ports. It had no content to be downloaded, had no online multiplayer functionality and included no character customization. Experiencing all these drawbacks in the earlier version, the fans wondered if Rock Band2 would have the same fate. However, Rock Band2 was not that delayed in release and the critics have found the product to be worth a wait as Rock Band2 on Wii earns an averaged score of 92 out of 100.

Two names are familiar to those who are obsessed with the Nintendo games with a possibility of not knowing these two amazing people. These two names are of Nintendo’s President Satoru Iwata and the company’s legendary designer Shigeru Miyamoto who are the top honors of Game Daily BIZ’s Person of the Year. Both these people equally deserved and the final award was given them together.
Few years back before the Wii was introduced, Nintendo was suffering in the third place with the Game Cube. It was only due to Iwata’s vision for expanding to non-traditional audiences thus, bringing more people into gaming and Miyamoto’s continued innovations, whether with the Wii’s hardware or software related that the company could see a rise in dominance.
